There are hundreds of ways to exercise. Some people prefer to run on a treadmill, and others prefer to go on a hike in the woods. Some like to exercise in private, and others like to exercise in a group. With so many options, how do you pick the exercise plan that’s right for you? While we like to say a variety of exercise is the best way to get the results you want, you may prefer to stick to one thing! At RizFit, you can use the cardio studio, weight lifting room, semi-private and private training sessions, and Bootcamp group classes. You may already have an open gym membership or a steady exercise schedule and are looking for something extra. You may be wondering, “is a group class right for me?” To help you decide, here are the reasons why most of our members join Bootcamp month after month!

Reason #1 - To Get in Better Shape

Most people join group classes with the goal of getting into better shape. By getting in better shape, we don’t necessarily mean weight loss. With a group class like Bootcamp, participants lose fat and gain muscle with the result of a healthier you. ​Just like any exercise, the results happen more quickly if you eat a balanced, healthy diet. Everyone’s body and goals are different but the thing we noticed in common is that people who sign up for group classes want to feel healthier and get in better shape.

Group classes are perfect for social extroverts. If you prefer to go to the gym with friends, then a group class will be perfect for you. Get that sense of community while sweating your butt off and working towards your goals. Being part of a team means motivating each other to be the best version of yourself! It can be hard to guide yourself in the gym if you don’t have much experience with all the machines, techniques, and exercises. Starting out with a group class can give you the tools to go off on your own and make a personal routine in the open gym.

If you have a month long break between fitness activities to fill in, then a short term group class might be the perfect solution. On top of the convenience of a month long class, participants might learn something new to bring with them on future fitness endeavors.

Lastly, a reason that people join group classes is to get a sense of the gym. Maybe they want to switch from another gym, start a new membership, just moved to the area, or have not joined a gym before. Some people join a month long group class to get a sense of the space, the equipment, the energy of people who go to that gym, the amenities, and how the trainers operate at that gym. By the end of the month, they have a better idea about the gym and can make an informed decision to sign up.
